My Recent work experience includes: CEO Counseling World, LLC. President of Project Development International. Albuquerque, NM. where I served as a provider of direct counseling services, continuing education and consulting services for a variety of public, private,for profit and nonprofit entities in areas of mental health, public relations, technology, finance, legal issues, etc. From July-2002 to July 2008 I served as a Therapist/Counselor, with La Buna Vida Inc. Bernalillo, NM. Where I Provided bilingual therapeutic individual and group counseling services for a diverse population with the full spectrum of diagnosis. I Developed, coordinated and promoted branch offices in Cuba & Grants, NM. I Supervised case workers and subordinate therapist. I Coordinated with school district, tribal, state, county and community social service providers. From August- 2006-January 2008-I served as Clinical Supervisor, Albuquerque Treatment Center, Albuquerque, NM. I Provided clinical supervision to a staff of 14 Counselors licensed as LSAA, LADAC, LMHC and LPCC. I coordinated substance abuse and duel diagnosis counseling services to an Out-patient Treatment Center with a 600 patient plus census. From January 2004-May 2006- I worked as the Cuba Independent Schools Safety and Prevention Specialist. My Duties Included: Provision of clinical counseling services (K-12), I directly supported the superintendent/school board, provided grant writing services and help develop policies, procedures and goals focusing on substance abuse, gangs, violence and truancy prevention/intervention. Duties also included: Supervision of subordinate counselors, administrative staff and community wide promotion of programs as well as coordination with the Navajo, Pueblo and Jicarilla nations. July-2001 to February 2006-I served as a 2nd Lt. in the NM Army National Guard, Santa Fe, NM. I performed All duties and responsibilities expected of an officer in the United States Army and the New Mexico National Guard. Adaptability, organization,
problem solving, decision making and team building skills were institutionalized tools of the trade.
I am currently a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor as well as a member of the American Counseling Association. In additional I am a certified Continuing Education Provider license #0103821 in the state of New Mexico. I am married with four children ranging in ages from adulthood to infancy.
